Matt Huynh & 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art call-out for Chinatown stories
Matt Huynh and the 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art are collaborating to present Sydney’s Chinatown through the visual short form of comic strips. They are calling for story submissions from Chinatown visitors, residents, students and workers to have their experiences featured in “Chinatown Comics”.
Matt Huynh is a comic creator and illustrator based in Sydney. He was named as one of the most innovative contributors to Sydney’s culture at the 2009 Creative Sydney Festival, and was awarded the inaugural Design NSW Traveling Scholarship.
For more information, for submission details, or for extensive documentation of how the first story was turned into a comic, visit the Chinatown Comics site here, or see the Facebook event page here. For more information about Gallery 4A, see their website here.
